This DeWalt hole hawg requires a 6Ah FlexVolt battery to work; the Super Hawg, on the other hand, accepts a relatively tiny Milwaukee battery. The total weight of the instrument, including the handle and batteries, is 18.4 pounds. While the Super Hawg weighs around 4 pounds more than this, drilling over shoulder height is much more cumbersome.
Both the 0-400 RPM and 0-1320 RPM ranges have changeable speeds. Most of my work will likely be done at or around the bottom of the scale. The switch is located on the bottom of the tool, rather at the top, which is rare.
